LEADERSHIP IS THE COURAGE TO PREPARE AHEAD

Posted on

WELCOME BACK! The Bible says in (2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV) that we are called to look beyond what is seen to what is unseen and eternal. This means leadership is not driven by pressure, applause, or immediate results, but by faith in God’s promises. The question is: What does Inspirational leadership mean: (1) It means seeing with spiritual vision when others see only obstacles (Proverbs 29:18), (2) It means acting in obedience even when outcomes are uncertain (Hebrews 11:1), and (3) It means committing to God’s purpose beyond personal comfort (Luke 14:28). Such leadership dares to prepare today for a tomorrow only faith can perceive, trusting that what God has spoken will surely come to pass.

As a matter of fact, this principle requires faith-filled vision, the courage to invest time, effort, and obedience into what is not yet visible, trusting God for future outcomes. This is clearly seen in the life of Noah, who prepared the ark long before the rain fell (Genesis 6:22; Hebrews 11:7). True leaders prepare ahead by fixing their eyes on God’s promises, not present circumstances, choosing faith over fear and obedience over convenience. Like Abraham, who obeyed God without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8), leaders who walk by faith plan for tomorrow while remaining faithful today, confident that God rewards diligence anchored in trust.

You see, preparation is an act of faith, and (2 Corinthians 4:18) teaches us that eternal focus empowers present action. When leaders choose eternal values over temporary pressures, they align their steps with God’s future and lead with purpose and clarity. Joseph prepared faithfully in seasons of obscurity and pressure, and God positioned him for leadership at the right time (Genesis 41:38–41). Courageous leadership sees ahead, works ahead, and trusts God ahead. Thank you, dear family, for walking this journey of faith and growth together. May the Lord strengthen your vision, guide your preparation, and establish the work of your hands as you lead by faith and not by sight, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
