FIRST QUARTER FOCUS
WELCOME BACK! The first quarter of the year is not just a calendar period; it is a spiritual gateway that determines the flow of everything that follows. Jesus makes it clear in (Matthew 6:33), that when we “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” every other need finds its proper place. What you prioritize first will influence everything that follows, your peace, your decisions, your productivity, and your outcomes. When God is placed first in this first quarter, you are intentionally setting your heart, mind, and actions in alignment with heaven. Just as a foundation determines the strength of a building, your early focus on God determines the strength of your year. The Bible reminds us that order brings increase, and divine order begins with God at the center (Proverbs 3:5–6).
Putting God first in time, attention, and devotion during this first quarter means choosing Him daily before distractions compete for your focus. It means giving Him the first moments of your day in prayer and the first attention of your heart through His Word, as seen in (Psalm 5:3), “In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice.” A clear spiritual example is Daniel, who prioritized prayer despite pressure, and God responded with wisdom, favor, and protection (Daniel 6:10, 28). When you give God the first quarter of your year, you are declaring that your plans, goals, and steps are submitted to His will. This is the season to build habits of consistency, prayer, discipline, learning, planning, and obedience, because what you start practicing now will determine what you harvest at the end of 2026 (Galatians 6:7–9).
The first quarter sets the spiritual temperature for the entire year. When God is first, peace follows, direction becomes clear, and provision is added, just as Isaiah 26:3 promises perfect peace to the one whose mind is stayed on God. We see this again in the life of Abraham, when he obeyed God early and fully, divine direction and blessing followed his entire journey (Genesis 12:1–3). In this first quarter, focus on strengthening your walk with God, refining your vision, developing yourself, and aligning your goals with God’s purpose. What you consistently do now, spiritually, mentally, and practically, is what you will present at the end of 2026. As you seek first, everything else will align according to God’s timing and plan (Psalm 37:5). Thank you for choosing to grow with Uplifted Moments; we appreciate you deeply.
