FEEL IT, UNDERSTAND IT AND RISE ABOVE IT

WELCOME BACK! When life hits your heart with emotions you didn’t expect, pain, disappointment, fear, pressure, God is not asking you to pretend you don’t feel them. The Bible says “The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but a broken spirit who can bear it?” (Proverbs 18:14). Feelings are indicators, not dictators. They reveal where you are, not where you must stay. God didn’t create you to suppress or deny what you feel, but to understand it through His Word and rise above it through His strength. This means taking a moment to be honest with yourself: What am I feeling? Why am I feeling it? What is God trying to show me at this moment? When you allow the Holy Spirit to shine His light on your emotions, your heart becomes a classroom where God teaches, heals, and transforms.
Self-awareness opens the door to emotional clarity, where you begin to see your feelings not as enemies but as messages. Inner strength is born when you understand the movement of your heart and invite God into it. And spiritual maturity grows when you learn not to react impulsively, but to respond wisely. Think of Naaman, the captain of the Syrian army, strong, respected, yet secretly broken with leprosy. His emotions nearly sabotaged his miracle when pride and anger overshadowed his ability to see God’s instruction through Elisha. But the moment he understood, when he humbled himself, obeyed, and dipped in the Jordan, he discovered that rising above emotions leads to healing, clarity, and breakthrough. His story teaches us that transformation begins when you stop fighting the truth inside you and start surrendering it to God.
When you feel it, you acknowledge the reality of your inner world. When you understand it, you gain wisdom, direction, and perspective through the Holy Spirit. And when you rise above it, you choose victory over vulnerability, purpose over pressure, and faith over every feeling that once tried to hold you down. This is where strength is built. This is where resilience is formed. This is where God lifts you into the version of yourself that has been waiting to emerge.
Thank you, Uplifted Moments family, for growing, learning, and rising with me every day. I pray that God strengthens your heart, calms your emotions, and guides your steps with wisdom. May you never be ruled by what you feel, but empowered by the Spirit who lives within you. Amen.
