DISCOVERING YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

Posted on

WELCOME BACK! In Christ, you are not who the world said you were, you are who God says you are. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”  (2 Corinthians 5:17). True transformation begins when you know who you are in Christ; when you discover your identity in Him, the chains of insecurity, fear, and self-doubt break because you finally see yourself through God’s eyes, not your past. Self-identity and spiritual confidence flow naturally when your worth is rooted in Jesus,  you no longer strive to be accepted, you live from acceptance.

Even Jesus experienced this principle. At His baptism, before He performed a miracle, healed the sick, or preached to the crowds, the Father declared, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” ( Matthew 3:17). His ministry didn’t begin with applause from people but with affirmation from God. That identity sustained Him through rejection, criticism, and persecution because He wasn’t living for approval, He was living from approval. In the same way, you rise above pressure when you remember who God has already called you to be.

You stop living by people’s opinions when you start living by God’s revelation about you because revelation produces confidence that opinions cannot shake. When the world labels you, you shrug it off because Heaven already named you: chosen, redeemed, loved, and set apart. Nothing is more powerful than a believer who knows who they are in Christ.

Thank you for being a part of Uplifted Moments, your presence here is a blessing. I pray that God will continuously open your eyes to your true identity in Christ, strengthen your confidence, silence every voice of doubt, and surround you with His love and clarity. May you walk boldly in your purpose, covered in grace and lifted by His peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
