The Power Of Consistency

Posted on

WELCOME BACK. The scripture says: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up” Galatians 6:9 (NLT). The power of consistency is a divine force of attraction that pull down the unseen world to the manifestation of your reality. It’s one of the biggest factors in leading to accomplishment and success. The question is: What does consistency mean? (1) It means to completely devote yourself to a particular task in life. (2) It means to stay committed and devoted without distraction. The power of consistency is a key element, without which a leader is incompetent of getting results. Consistency is not about talent, but it is about stability and reliability, being able to improve. If you work hard and understand what you need to do, you can improve. When you look at people who have succeeded, you will discovered that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation. So it is what you do consistently that attracts what you earn effortlessly. You are only as strong as you allow yourself to be; never get discouraged, never give up because consistency and dedication is the key to success. Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing. Success isn’t always about greatness, but about consistency. You see, Great men are not born great, they grow great. Greatness comes by doing a few and smart things each day. When you choose wisely and acted consistently with excellent, you strengthened your attitude and become a better person.

Anthony Robbins, a motivational speaker once said “It is not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.” The key reason why most people struggle with staying consistent over a long-term is because they only live for the short-term. In other words, if they don’t get immediate results from their actions, they don’t see the point with continuing with those actions over a long-period of time. However, the power of consistency isn’t about obtaining quick results. It’s rather about making incremental progress and improvements over an extended period of time. Consider for a moment a skill that you have developed over the years. No matter what skill you developed, you developed this skill over many weeks, months and years. And you developed it because you applied yourself consistently toward learning the recipe of those particular skills. There are no quick results when it comes to commitment to consistency. Consistency is rather about making incremental improvements over time. The results you are after will eventually come, however they will only come over an extended period of time when you commit yourself to consistently learning the dos and don’t. The power of consistency is an undeniable qualities. The successful men and women achieved extraordinary success simply because they refuse to give up. It makes them rise beyond the level of their expectations in life. As others give up and quit the race, the guy who refuses to go away will eventually prevail. This guy will inevitably be the one who breaks the ribbon and takes home the first place trophy. Henry Ross Perot was an American business magnate, a billionaire. The founder and chief executive officer of Electronic Data Systems. He ran for president in 1992 and 1996. He said: “Most people give up when they are just about to achieve a remarkable success. He further said, people will get almost to the edge of breakthrough and then walk away just when they are about to score the winning touchdown. Sadly, they work hard and then give up because of some little uncertainty on the way or journey of their life”. Remember, no matter how severe it might be, your storm can’t last forever. Whatever you choose to do with your life, be consist until you succeed. If you meet winds and wave on your way to greatness, you have the capacity to ride out the storm like eagles. The truth of the matter is, life is always at some turning point.
